Ten Four Technology Journeyman Artist – Yellow Spectral Sun Living in the Window for the End of Time – Micro Mini Book – 2012
Hand made paper is a major aspect of the creativity of the Ten Four Technology Journeyman Artist project. Hand made paper is incorporated into artist books and printmaking. Ford’s main interest is in natural fibre papers made from local flora of his region. There is also an interest in cotton rag paper and recycled papers. The Ten Four papermaking experience started in 1995 when he was lucky to work with Santiago Bose for 3 months on the Journals of a Cultural Drifter project at Southern Cross University, Lismore NSW. Later Ford became technician in charge of papermaking at Hobart School of Art, taking over from Penny Carrie-Wells and in 2008-9 managed Euraba Artists and Papermakers, Boggabilla NSW. In 2012 Ken returned as a visiting artist to Euraba to work with their rag paper embossing.
