Picnic with the Giants 1999. Styx Valley, Tasmania. One of major works depicting the 2 views of how the forest is perceived. The forestry worker who sees clear felling as the best practice and the thinking person who fights for the conservation of old growth forest for biodiversity and places of beauty. The devastation I witnessed in the Styx Valley has left a profound impact on my world view. (see My Eyes Are Crying Not Me.)
